General Info

Crudo Ceviche & Oyster Bar is the kind of place you stumble into once and then keep coming back to, especially if fresh seafood is your comfort food. Located at 1608 India St UNIT 402, San Diego, CA 92101, United States, this oyster bar restaurant fits perfectly into the relaxed yet food-forward energy of the area. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels casual but intentional, making it easy to settle in whether you’re stopping by for brunch, lunch, or a laid-back evening bite.

The menu leans heavily into bright, coastal flavors, and that’s exactly where it shines. One of the biggest draws is the Oyster Platter at 1 dólar each during lunchtime, which has become a local favorite for good reason. Fresh, clean, and perfectly shucked, it’s the kind of deal that turns a quick lunch into an experience worth talking about in reviews. Alongside that, the baked oysters add a richer, warmer option that balances the raw selections beautifully.

Ceviche lovers will feel right at home here. The Uni Tuna Ceviche delivers a smooth, ocean-forward bite that feels indulgent without being overwhelming. On the brighter side of the menu, the Aguachile Verde brings heat, acidity, and freshness together in a way that wakes up your palate instantly. Each dish feels thoughtfully prepared, not rushed, which says a lot about the kitchen’s approach.

For something a little different, the Pulpo Carpaccio stands out as one of those plates you remember long after you leave. Thinly sliced, tender, and layered with subtle flavors, it adds depth to the menu and shows that this isn’t just another seafood spot-it’s a place that cares about craft.

Beyond the food, the overall experience is easy and accommodating. The restaurant offers takeaway for days when you want to enjoy the menu at home, and the wheelchair-accessible car park makes arrivals stress-free. Families will appreciate the availability of high chairs, while the acceptance of credit cards keeps things simple. Brunch service adds another reason to visit, especially if you enjoy seafood earlier in the day.

Crudo Ceviche & Oyster Bar blends quality dishes, thoughtful service, and a comfortable setting into one solid dining option. It’s a place where the location, menu, and overall vibe work together naturally, creating an experience that feels genuine every time you visit.

What customers say?

“ I’ve had my eye on this location for a few years now every time we visit San Diego. After a while I finally decided to go for the happy hour and was totally blown away! The aguachile negro was a very generous portion and the oysters were a nice balance of sweet and salty. The host/waiter was super friendly and happy hour is for the entire establishment- not just the bar :) Great for solo diners or two or more people as well Looking forward to my next visit! ”

“ Crudo Ceviche & Oyster Bar – Little Italy, San Diego June 2025 Overall: /5 – I’d barely wiped the tears from missing Ironside’s 5pm happy hour when Crudo welcomed me in like a long-lost cousin—with smiles and a happy hour that stretched graciously to 5:30. Bless ’em. Rosé – $8 5/5 Chilled like a front porch in springtime and just as refreshing. Fruity, bright, not too sweet—gave my mood (and outfit) the lift it needed. A Dozen Oysters – $1.50 each 3/5 Now listen. I don’t know where these oysters came from—and honestly, I’m not sure they did either. Half had suspicious thick white bits near the root that threw off my taste buds…. But that house-made mignonette? A redemption arc. A bit flustered there wasn’t horseradish, but for the price? Still steal. Shrimp Cocktail – $12 5/5 I expected poolside shrimp and cocktail sauce. What I got was nearly ceviche—10 plump shrimp bathed in bright tomato sauce, chilled with cucumber, avocado, red onion, fresh tomato, and attitude. Absolutely delightful. Would reorder without hesitation. Citrus Yellowtail Tostada – $22 4.5/5 A beautiful tostada that came seared, citrus-kissed, and plated like it had a secret. Savory, fresh, and elegant. The white sauce leaned towards mayo, which isn’t my belle of the ball—but it didn’t ruin the dance. Service: 5/5 Truly warm, attentive, and unrushed. They turned a missed happy hour into a happy accident. It’s giving YT : @internationalchic TikTok: @internationalchic Instagram: @internationalchicshawn ”

“ This is a small but excellent seafood and oyster bar with Latin influences. The corn appetizer was excellent and my wife’s soft shell crab was some of the best she’s ever had. My tuna and citrus tostado was excellent. I highly recommend for light seafood. Cocktails were also very good. Service was 5 stars! ”

“ Crudo has been my go-to for happy hour and an occasional indulgent dinner in downtown San Diego's Little Italy for the past two years. It is a little gem of a restaurant that is beautifully whimsical during the day, and magical at night. A big draw for me is the oysters, which I drown in their delicious house made chili oil served in tiny metal mugs. I find myself spoiled by this, and miss it when I have oysters elsewhere. The aguachiles are great, the verde being my favorite; light, fresh and served with crisp blue tortilla flats. Other items on the happy hour menu that deserve a try are the Torched Scallops, Sope de Marlin and the Baked Oysters. Yum. If you come for dinner or simply venture onto the main menu, the Cóctel de Marisco is large, fresh and super delicious. It has been a light meal on its own for me. The Yellowtail Tiradito is like summer in your mouth, so good. The tostadas are delicious. If you are in the mood for something warm and rich, the Dashi Buerre Blanc Noodles hit the right note. I think consistency in quality, cleanliness and service are important in a restaurant, and I am consistently pleased with the freshness of the food, the presentation, the atmosphere and the staff. Which brings me to another reason I come back again and again. Paulo, Leo and Alonso. What can I say- charming smiles, enthusiastic greetings, good conversation, attentive and kind service, good senses of humor and great knowledge of the menu. I feel at home each time I come. Already looking forward to my next visit. ”
